Let’s take a stroll down memory lane, shall we?
You’ve just finished grocery shopping and you’re about 5 minutes away from home when you realize
“Ugh! I forgot to grab the toilet paper.”
You start scrolling the map in your mind to locate the nearest drug store that is on your way home, so you won’t have to go out of your way. You’re scrolling, scrolling, scrolling and then BOOM! You realize there’s one about a block up the road, so you make the decision to stop there. As soon as you pull in the parking lot, you realize
“Now I have to pee! Are you SERIOUS right now? I just wanna get home…”
So you walk into the drug store and you see the sign for the ladies’ room but you choose NOT to go in because
“Well, I hate using public bathrooms. I’ll just grab the toilet paper, really quickly, and head right home to use my own bathroom.”
You grab the toilet paper, make a b-line for the ONE open cashier line, only to be standing behind a lady who decides that TODAY is the day she wants to speak to the manager about the expired coupon she tried to use last week that the cashier (who isn’t the same one who is working today, by the way) denied, so she wasn’t able to buy the item and get her extra shopping points that would have given her $5.00 off of her cart for today.
FINALLY, after 10 minutes of watching this “coupon crisis” unfold, you finally get to the front of the line, pay for your toilet paper and bolt right out of the door to your car. You speed all the way home, praying that you don’t get pulled over, bust through your front door, and make it to the bathroom. You almost missed the toilet, but not this time. This time, you made it.
Does any of this story sound familiar to you? Many women know this experience all to well. For some women, this may even be a normal part of life. However, developing the habit of waiting for long periods of time to use the bathroom may actually be causing harm to your Womb.
Here’s 3 reasons why you should stop holding your pee:
You increase your risk of infections. Sis, holding urine in your bladder for long periods of time can cause waste to accumulate in your Womb space. The accumulated waste can lead to bladder infections and vaginal bacterial infections, as well.
Those accumulated toxins can lead to disease. When you hold in waste for tool long, without releasing, some of those waste products get reabsorbed back into your Womb. If your body is constantly reabsorbing waste, then you are not creating a healthy internal environment for your Womb to thrive, and thus are leaving your Womb space susceptible to disease.
You could tilt your uterus. YES! This can actually happen. Keeping your bladder enlarged, constantly, puts pressure on your uterus. And what do they say about pressure and pipes? Well, you probably won’t actually “bust” your uterus, but you may put your uterus under so much pressure that she actually shifts her natural position.
Well, there you have it. These are just a few of the reasons why you should ditch the habit of holding your pee.
I hope this helps.
🧜🏾♀️I Love You, Sis😘
